Submission Guidelines

SpinScience Open Research Archive

Important: All public records in SpinScience require a DOI. SpinScience does not assign DOIs—you must provide one with your submission.
Original submissions (first publication)

If your work is new/unpublished and being published for the first time:

  • Submit exclusively via the SpinScience Zenodo Community.
  • Process: Upload as Draft → Submit for Review → Curator Acceptance → Publication & DOI.
  • Zenodo will assign a DOI automatically upon acceptance.
  • Items are not peer-reviewed unless explicitly stated.

Mirror submissions (already published elsewhere)

If your work is already published with a DOI:

  • Email the following to submissions@spinscience.org
    • Canonical DOI
    • Official Source Link
    • License information
  • SpinScience will index the record as a "External/Mirror" entry.
PDF Hosting Policy

SpinScience hosts the full-text PDF only if the license explicitly permits redistribution (e.g., CC BY, CC0).

If the license is restrictive, unclear, or "Copyrighted", we will create a metadata-only record linking to the official source.

What Happens Next

Moderation checks:

  • Scope alignment
  • Metadata completeness
  • Rights/License verification
  • Basic integrity checks

Upon approval, your work will be published with a recommended citation and versioning support.
